CheckEngine USA
The CheckEngine USA web site, some will say, isn’t “stunning,” but that word describes what we want to see. But this site, and some may think this is funny, has a great personality. Meaning it has a real inner beauty. Is it perfect in that regard? Well, no, but it was obviously made by someone who has a firm grasp of accessibility and usability. It’s a very easy-to-use site with an intuitiveness that the two graders assigned to it really appreciated. It’s a working site that fulfills its purpose very well. That’s why it’s here. Not for its immaculate paint job, but for what’s under the hood to use the most fitting analogy based on the site’s thematic.
The CheckEngine USA site was crafted by Dennis Lembree and received an averaged Part I Score of: 15.67 and a Part II Score of: 4.8, for an Overall Score of: 20.47, making it eligible for an Award Level of: “Notable Universal Design.” Congratulations Dennis!
