Give Joe Some Dough

Joe Clark's microppatronage Donate to Joe Clark’s Micropatronage We interrupt our regularly scheduled three part series on Designing for Dyslexics to bring you this public service announcement:

Love him or hate him, Joe Clark needs your dough… or money, moolah, cash, clams, or whatever name you give your currency. Joe is looking for day-to-day survival money while he raises $7 million (Canadian) to fund the Open & Closed Project. This is an accessibility research project aimed at developing accessible media standards in four areas:

  1. Captioning
  2. Audio Description
  3. Subtitling
  4. Dubbing

Joe’s not asking for project contributions; the money he’s asking for in this micropatronage is for him — to allow him to campaign for the big money needed for the project itself. So stop what you’re doing and make a donation right now to help him meet his $7777. goal. The entire media industry will benefit so it’s a good cause.

We know, not everyone has the means to make a donation. That’s okay, you can still help by spreading the word. Joe has provided some banner ads to help you help him.

Okay, back to our regularly scheduled broadcast.
