Renegade Zen
The Renegade Zen web site is quite attractive — though some won’t like the reverse colors. We found a number of things we liked about it. One of the high-points was the use of headings and the clever way they were written. As a communication medium we were impressed and rather enjoyed the writing style. Put it this way, we had a few Zen moments. In the areas of usability and accessibility, though, we found a few things that were lacking and feel it could be better in this way. Fortunately, correcting these low-points and bringing the site up to speed shouldn’t be terribly difficult. One of which can be addressed by simply adding a page to assist visitors who may have questions about the site’s organization, functions, or features. All-in-all, though, we did like it. Where it falls short in some areas, it excels in others.
The Renegade Zen site was crafted by Roan Lavery and received an averaged Part I Score of: 15.28 and a Part II Score of: 7.2, for an Overall Score of: 22.48, making it eligible for an Award Level of: “Quality Universal Design.” Congratulations Roan!
