3.7 Designs
The 3.7 Designs web site immediately impressed us. It’s a great-looking site and it’s accessible. Removing the style sheet showed us a nicely structured build. Digging deeper, though, did uncover some accessibility oversights and potential problems that caused a little confusion — but that is what we do. We noted a considerable amount of scripting, much of which we felt was unnecessary and possibly not to the benefit of the site. To the credit of site’s builder, though, removing the script didn’t hamper the site one bit. If anything it seemed to enhance it. Some visual effects no longer functioned but things seemed to smooth out a bit. All-in-all we like this site, especially the awesome crest displayed on the “Web Design” page; it’s a badge of honor if we ever saw one.
The 3.7 Designs site was crafted by Ross Johnson and received an averaged Part I Score of: 15.15 and a Part II Score of: 6.3, for an Overall Score of: 21.45, making it eligible for an Award Level of: “Quality Universal Design.” Congratulations Ross!
