Stoney Creek Web Design
The website for Stoney Creek Web Design is a very attractive, summery design. Its tagline is “Refreshing Web Design,” and the design is pleasantly refreshing in choice of colors and imagery. When you dive into the code, you start to see that this refreshment isn’t only skin deep. The coding is careful and conscientious, and it’s readily apparent that a lot of thought has gone into each element.
The site isn’t without the occasional slight oversight. There are a few errors when it comes to some of the finer points of semantic elements, and the occasional poorly chosen alternative text. On the whole, however, this is a well-crafted website: and certainly a fantastic first stab at accessibility!
The Stoney Creek Web Design website was designed by David W. Zemens and after a thorough review, has been deemed eligible for an Award Level of: “Quality Universal Design.” Congratulations David!

It is very exciting to see the honor you have bestowed on David Zemens for his website. Dave has been a friend for twenty years or more. I know as much as anyone the time that he has spent becoming a self taught web designer. As in all that he does he strives for perfection and settles for nothing but the right way to do things—taking no short cuts. I’m sure he would be the first to admit that he has a lot to learn about the craft of web designing but those of us that know him know he has come a long way! Congratulations David–Keep up the good work!
