TomStardust
The TomStardust site has instant appeal with its modern design, liquid layout, and functionality. It has the “look” consistent with today’s web. Clear, easy to digest, visually top-notch. It does, however, have a handful of significant shortcomings and the grades will reflect this. It was a very difficult site to grade; trying to balance the score between the goodness we saw and the problems we noted. It wasn’t easy at all.

FriendlyBit
The FriendlyBit web site is well-named as our first impression of it was that it is indeed a friendly site — as in user-friendly. It’s clear, concise, and pleasing to the eye. It’s not overly complex, and as a content delivery system it seems practical and generally well-done. We found a few things that bothered us, but that’s nothing new. We’re (un)paid to eye sites critically. This site does have an error that was justified upon submission..

ISERP
The Institute for Social & Economic Research & Policy or ISERP website is a website well-done. It’s sprawling and extensive, yet it retains a high level of usability and shorts not its visitors in terms of accessibility and functionality. Builders of most websites, especially large ones, have to make some compromises; a balance must be struck. This site strikes this balance well and with a polished, professional touch.

Tyssen Design (2)
The Tyssen Design (2) site is, for lack of a better term, hot. It’s very contemporary in its design and many of its features are inline with what we see on the web nowadays. This is a re-design/re-submission and although the original design submission was nice, this one’s a lot nicer. As is normal, we found a few things which brought the score down, but it is our job.
