You shouldn’t need to have the law, a special presentation like this, or economic benefits be your motivation for making sure you make or own an accessible web site. It’s quite simply the right thing to do and you should care.

Empathize. How would you feel if you were the one who is disabled? Would you like it if you were told to upgrade your equipment or get better glasses? How would you feel if you encountered barriers at every turn? A little consideration on your part can make many people feel better about you and your company. And, just as importantly, you can feel good about yourself and maybe sleep better as a result.

What comes around goes around as the saying goes. Being considerate is to your benefit and to the benefit of others around you.
